Use of bicycles and scooters will be prohibited within the Tashkent Botanical Garden starting April 1, the garden’s administration said in a statement, citing a decision by its scientific council.
"The safety of our guests and their loved ones is our top priority. Recently, there has been an increase in incidents of falls and various injuries resulting from the use of bicycles and scooters on the garden grounds," the statement noted. Reportedly, numerous inquiries and suggestions regarding this issue had been received from visitors.
The move is aimed at "creating a safe, quiet, and peaceful atmosphere for walking. We strive to maintain conditions for your comfortable relaxation and the contemplation of nature's beauty," the Botanical Garden concluded.
