President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received a letter from the U.S. President Donald Trump for the next meeting of the Board of Peace, as well as to the G20 summit in Miami in December 2026, the presidential spokesman, Sherzod Asadov announced.
The inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace took place on February 19 of this year in Washington and was dedicated to the reconstruction and humanitarian aid efforts for the Gaza Strip. At the summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that Uzbekistan was ready to contribute through erecting residential building, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals in Gaza.
The Board of Peace was initiated by Donald Trump. Uzbekistan joined the council as a founding member in January in Davos, Switzerland.
