President of Uzbekistan today arrived in the Korea Republic on a state visit. At Seoul airport Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the first lady were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of Korea Republic, Minister of Strategy and Finance Kim Dong-yeon.
The national flags of the two countries were raised in honor of the arrival of the President of Uzbekistan, with the Guard of Honor in the historic military uniform welcoming the high guests along the red carpet.
A very warm welcoming ceremony was held in the residence assigned to the President of Uzbekistan, where Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the first lady were welcomed by children in national clothes and members of the public.
According to the media center, the President has a very rich program of meetings and talks, with nearly 70 bilateral accords scheduled to be signed.
During the talks with President of the Korea Republic Moon Jae-in, the counterparts are expected to discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and prospects for the development of bilateral ties in the political, trade-economic, financial-investment, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
The two leaders are also expected to sign a Joint Statement on comprehensive deepening of strategic partnership ties.
President Mirziyoyev will also meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister and visit the Uzbekistan-Korea Republic business forum.
