President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree posthumously awarding Jasorat (Courage) medal to the traffic patrol inspector junior sergeant Khosilbek Eshnazarov.

On February 25, the traffic patrol officer was struck by a 16-year-old schoolboy driving a BMW M4 while on duty in downtown Tashkent. He died on February 27 without regaining consciousness. The hit was recorded on camera by a passenger, a friend of the driver. The young man behind the wheel, Doniyor Turgunov, has been charged with the Vehicle theft and the Intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim charges of the Criminal Code.

The decree notes that the award had been awarded to the late inspector "for valiant work in the country's police agencies, great merit in the fight against crime, ensuring public safety and peace of mind, road safety, preventing road accidents, effectively implementing crime prevention measures, as well as for conscientiously performing his duty with high honor, remaining faithful to his sacred oath, demonstrating an example of courage and selflessness, and actively participating in educating the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland."
