President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today signed a decree increasing the amount of wages, pensions, study allowances and other allowances starting from December 1. The document was intended at "further increasing the incomes and living standards of the population, enhancing social support to the citizens in the context of foreign exchange system liberalization."
The wages of employees of budget-financed institutions and organizations, pensions, study allowances and other allowances have thus increased on average by %15.
Private companies and entities may increase wages through improving production efficiency and reducing labor costs.
The last time the minimum wage was raised in October 2016 by an average of 15%.
