Fire in a Beltepa street home in Tashkent's Shaykhantakhur District on Monday killed three people and injured one, Milliy TV's Millar program reported.
The Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department said that the fire had been reported at 8:51 PM. Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 8:54 PM. The fire was contained at 9:29 PM and extinguished at 9:38 PM.
Reportedly, bodies of three people - a mother and two minor children - were discovered after the fire was extinguished.
One eyewitness reported that due to inaccessibility to the room where the mother and children were, a wall had to be broken down on the neighboring side. "By the time we managed to get in, it was too late," he noted.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
