Three girls from the same family in Tashkent- Munisa, 7, Mukhlisa, 6 and Mohira, 4 died on November 8 in a hospital, presumably after poisoning with substances of unknown etiology. Relatives said that the girls felt unwell after eating kebab in a restaurant, their father then bought medicine in nearby pharmacy and the girls presumably died from this drug.

The Almazar district prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case on this incident on November 9 under Article 186 part 4 (a) of the Criminal Code (Production, storage, transportation for sale or sale of goods, performance of works or provision of services not meeting safety requirements, which caused human deaths), Bobir Dekhkonov, head of department of Tashkent city prosecutor's said in a briefing at Tashkent Police Department.

Investigation is currently underway into the case to establish the cause of deaths. Samples of medicines and food were taken for comprehensive forensic chemical examinations.
