45 people died in road accidents on January 11, 2026 in Uzbekistan. Of these, 8 deaths were recorded in the Tashkent province.

Despite the preventive steps taken, the number of road accident victims in Uzbekistan remains high.

​​1,854 people died on road accidents across the country in 2025. 7,391 people were injured to varying degrees. The number of road accidents last year topped 9,245. While in December 2025 alone, 190 people died across the country.

For comparison, 9,364 road accidents occurred in 2024, in which 1,869 people died and 7,495 people were injured.

In 2025, the largest number of road accident deaths by province was in Samarkand province - 242. 225 deaths were recorded in Tashkent province, 199 in Fergana and 167 in Surkhandarya.

Compared to 2024, the number of deaths from road traffic accidents increased in Bukhara (+1), Fergana (+3), Surkhandarya (+8), Kashkadarya (+14), Khorezm (+40) provinces and Karakalpakstan (+13). The provinces with the lowest number of deaths were Syrdarya (47 people), Navoi (67 people) and Bukhara (72 people) provinces.
