Woman secretly gave birth to a child at a hospital in Payarik district of Samarkand province and left it in a trash bin, Zamon program on Sevimli TV channel reported.
Reportedly, on December 27, a young woman came to the hospital with her mother-in-law complaining of constipation. She refused a medical examination and requested an enema. She was offered a doctor's examination and an ultrasound, which she also refused.
The woman was sent to a treatment room. During the procedure, she asked the nurse to leave her alone and left the hospital shortly afterward. Medical workers who checked the room discovered a dead male child in a trash bin.
Hospital staff identified the woman through surveillance cameras and reported the incident to police. A preliminary investigation has been launched, and a forensic examination has been ordered.
