The updated draft Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy provides for priority areas aimed at improving law-making with the aim of further increasing the role of the parliament’s chambers and political parties in building the New Uzbekistan.

In particular, the item 386 has set the goal of 100% digitalization of law-making processes and the application of AI to these processes. The goal is to ensure the compatibility of lawmaking with reforms and develop the institutional foundations of state legal policy.

According to the item 387, as a result of the optimization of legislative documents, it is planned to reduce the regulatory burden by at least 30%. The item 388 provides for the expansion of the practice of adopting directly applicable laws, bringing their ratio to at least 60 percent.

The item 389 stipulates that the indicator of regulatory impact assessment of regulatory legal documents should be increased to 100%.
