Visitors threw snowballs at animals at the Tashkent Zoo, the zoo's press service said. "The snowballs were aimed at the white Bengal tiger Fufuni and the Amur tiger Navruz. After the managing director intervened, it was discovered that stones had been rolled into the snowballs to hurt the animals," the zoo administration underscored.
The offenders were immediately removed from the zoo grounds.
"The Amur tiger is a rare and endangered species. The white Bengal tiger is an extremely rare form of tiger that requires special care and protection. Each zoo inhabitant is a unique life that we protect and cherish," the Tashkent Zoo emphasized.
Anyone who harms animals or violates the rules will be immediately removed from the zoo grounds, the administration concluded.
