After nearly four months of reconstruction, traffic has resumed on the section from Shakhrisabz street to Chupon Ota street, the Tashkent mayor office said.
This is a technical opening: road workers are continuing work on the section from Chupon Ota to Yangi Sergeli, while technical improvements are still ongoing on the already opened section.
Bulk of work has been completed, including access roads from adjacent neighborhoods, installation of utility lines, and bus stop barriers. Lighting has been partially installed, temporary markings have been applied, with all traffic lights operational. Installation of bus stops is ongoing in the bus lane.
The authorities ask drivers and residents to be understanding about any potential shortcomings: any remaining issues will be addressed during the repairs. The public is advised to pay particular attention to the roadway, where road crews and equipment are still working.
