The King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on 25−26 August, the press service of the president said. Reportedly, this will be the first visit of a Jordan’s King to Uzbekistan.
The talks with the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev and other related events will take place in Samarkand.
The parties are expected to discuss ways to advance political, trade-economic and investment cooperation.
The talks will cover establishing cooperation in the chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, textile, mining and other industries, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The parties will also exchange views on urgent aspects of international and regional policy.
Following the talks, a package of bilateral agreements is expected to be signed.
