Over 707,000 traffic violations were recorded between July 15 and August 15 across the country, the İnterior Ministry said in a report following the end of second stage of the Safe and Healthy Country campaign.

During this period, nearly 85,000 vehicles were sent to impound lots, while 153,000 individuals received warnings for leaving cars, bicycles, and carts unattended.

18,700 road signs, 270 traffic lights were installed, 772,000 square meters of road markings, built 580 elevated pedestrian crossings were marked, and 7,100 traffic lights were repaired.

Illegal barriers and prohibition signs were dismantled in 18 neighborhoods In Tashkent city and provinces.

These measures reportedly helped decrease the number of traffic accidents which fell by 41.3 percent to the previous month.

Furthermore, 153,816 CCTV cameras were set up in neighborhoods and residential areas. Security systems were installed to protect 6,392 stores and 5,949 houses, while physical protection was provided for 2,031 facilities.
