An auction was held on the E-auksion electronic platform for the right to conduct geological exploration at Temirchi gold-bearing site in Nurata district of the Navoi province Monday.
The lot was awrded to Zauris, which offered 67.78 billion soums ($5.4 million) - almost 16.5 times higher than the starting price (4.12 billion soums).
The Temirchi site is located 26.7 km northwest of Zafarabad village and 35 km north of Navoi city. Its area is 249 hectares, and its gold reserves are estimated at 6 tons (192.9 thousand troy ounces). Today, the price of one troy ounce of gold is $ 3,389.
According to the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations (USRPO), Zauris was registered in July of this year in Tashkent. The owner and director of the company is Feruza Fayzieva, who owns 100% stake in the company.
In addition, Feruza Fayzieva owns a 70% stake in Marex Financial, a company founded in 2020.
This is not the first gold-bearing site that has been put up for auction. On August 15, Bargi Sabz Import Export won the right to conduct geological exploration on an area of 926 hectares of the Akkazat site, which is located 68.2 km southeast of the city of Zarafshan. The company offered 24.92 billion soums - 6 times more than the starting price (4.1 billion soums). The estimated gold reserves are estimated at 5 tons.
Bargi Sabz Import Export was registered in Yangiyul city, Tashkent province, on April 11, 2018. On August 14, Zhongcheng Mining won the lot with the Chettik site (15 km from the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara province), offering 35.6 billion soums - 8.6 times more than the starting price (4.1 billion soums). The area of the site is 1,314 hectares, and the possible gold reserves are 4.57 tons.
