Uzbekistan is considering the entry and stay for up to 30 days of citizens of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan using their respective internal passport or ID-card (kinder passport for children).
This directive is contained in the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s May 15 Radical increase in the flow of tourists to the country Decree. The Interior Ministry shall commence negotiations with the three countries within three months.
The first country with which Uzbekistan set up crossing the border using ID cards was Kyrgyzstan in 2023.
The same decree talks about plans to introduce a 30-day visa-free for US citizens and is expecting for commencing of talks on easing visa requirements for citizens of Uzbekistan on the part of the United States.
Earlier Uzbekistan announced 30-day visa-free for citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman from June 1.
