In pursuance of the intergovernmental Treaty on Mutual Visa Exemption between Uzbekistan and China, signed in Chengdu on December 1, a 30-day visa free travel shall take effect for citizens of Uzbekistan and China Starting from June 1, 2025. However, the visa-free shall not apply to employment, study, media-related activities, or any other undertakings that require prior approval from the relevant authorities of the respective countries.

The document governs the terms of reciprocal visa-free travel for citizens of both countries. Under its provisions, citizens of Uzbekistan and China shall be waived from visa requirements for entry, exit, or transit for a stay not exceeding 30 days per visit, and no more than 90 days in total within any 180-day period.

It is important to note that the duration of stay must not exceed 30 days. Citizens intending to stay for more than 30 days are required to obtain a visa in advance.

Additionally, the treaty does not extend to visits to China’s Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
