The Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has accepted the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev and will visit Samarkand on April 23-24, the presidential press service said.
The parties are expected to discuss the ways to further advance the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership ties and to expand multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the political, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic, transport and communications, and cultural and humanitarian areas.
The parties will also exchange views on the regional and international issues.
