Chinese Shandong Aipurui Steel Plate Co., Ltd will erect a metal processing plant in Taraqqiyot industrial zone in Tashlak district of Fergana province, the press service of the provincial administration said.
The province governor Khairullo Bozorov met with a delegation led by the head of the company Khan Zongbai.
Reportedly, the $120 million plant project includes three phases and will create 500 new jobs. The launch of the first phase is planned for October.
Khairullo Bozorov underscored that the project is proceeding at an accelerated pace, conditions are being created not only for production, but also for holding business forums.
He also emphasized that green areas are being created in the territory as part of the Green Space national project.
Shandong is also implementing other projects in the Fergana province, namely, Shandong Weida Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. plans to build a building materials plant (aerated concrete blocks) in the Dangara district of the province.
