The Cabinet of Ministers has issued a resolution forming a government commission to investigate the circumstances of the explosion in the mosque in Izbaskan district of Andijan province, the Prime Minister’s spokesman Bekzod Khidoyatov said.
The commission will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov.
According to the spokesman, the commission will investigate the circumstances and causes of the incident, and will also develop measures to prevent similar emergencies in the future.
Furthermore, the resolution provides for the provision of comprehensive assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the explosion, including the provision of necessary medical care.
The gas explosion occurred on the afternoon of March 31 in the ablution premises of the mosque, killing three people died and injuring 10. The Ministry of Emergency Situations published the names of the dead and injured.
