The former chief of Tashshahartranskhizmat (government entity responsible for Tashkent public transport), Anvar Juraev and his deputy Abduzhamil Azizov were found guilty of embezzlement of public funds and fraud. They were both sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
On February 3, 2025, the Almazar District Criminal Court issued a verdict against the former chief of the board of Tashshahartranskhizmat JSC Anvar Juraev and 20 other people. The judge of the Yunusabad District Criminal Court Umidbek Musaev was appointed as the responsible person.
The trial was held in public, but filming the proceedings and using a voice recorder were prohibited, and media representatives were allowed to use only paper and pen.
The defendants were accused of 24 scores of crimes.
By court verdict, Anvar Juraev was deprived of the right to hold positions of official in the Toshshahartranskhizmat system for 3 years and sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
In his testimony in court, Anvar Juraev did not plead guilty, stating that he had learned about the cases of looted spare parts during the investigation.
To date, attorney have filed appeals.
