Tashkent will host a majestic event, the Festival of French Music from April 11 to 30, 2025 on the initiative of the State Conservatory, the Embassy of France and the State Symphony Orchestra. The Festival will bring together more than 200 talented musicians and give the public unforgettable impressions.

The Festival will undoubtedly become a significant event in Uzbekistan’s cultural life, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in the field of music and education. Over ten concerts of symphonic, chamber and vocal-instrumental music will be performed on the stage of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

An important part of the program will be international master classes for students of music schools and conservatory students, which will be an invaluable contribution to the development of the young generation of Uzbek musicians. There will also be a student and international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the development of music and its influence on modern music education. The Festival is designed not only to introduce a wide audience to the rich musical heritage of France, but also to create a platform for creative dialogue between musicians of the two countries. Particular attention will be paid to the participation of Uzbek performers who will present their national musical culture at the international level.

The Festival will feature works by outstanding French composers, including: Maurice Ravel (150 years since his birth), Paul Dukas (160 years), Gabriel Fauré (180 years), Charles Saint-Saëns (190 years) and others.

An important part of the Festival will be joint performances of French and Uzbek performers, which will emphasize the cultural dialogue and mutual enrichment of musical traditions. The Festival will open with a concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of conductor from France Nathalie Marin, known for her contribution to the interpretation of French symphonic music and collaboration with leading orchestras in Europe. Natalie Marin will also hold master classes for two days at the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

A rich concert program was prepared by students together with the faculty of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, including associate professors Tatyana Myakushko, Javlon Radjabov, professors Ramida Polatkhanova, Malika Kasymova and many others.

A solo program will be performed by the French pianist Francois Chaplin, famous for his brilliant interpretations of works by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, as well as leading Uzbek pianists, including the laureate of international competitions Elmira Mirkasymova and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Adiba Sharipova. The performance of the outstanding organist and composer Jean-Baptiste Robin, a recognized master of organ art in France and the official organist of the Palace of Versailles, deserves special attention. The Festival will close with a grand concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the direction of the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Urinbaev.

The French Music Festival in Uzbekistan will not only be a series of concerts, but a real cultural bridge between the two countries. This event will allow spectators and participants not only to enjoy outstanding musical works, but also to feel the power of art, which can unite cultures and inspire new generations of musicians.
