The Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov attended the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah to discuss the ongoing Israeli offensive against the Palestinian people and the plans for annexation and forced displacement from their land.

The attendees highlighted the importance of unity for the sake of common prosperity in the regions nad underscored that it was necessary to maintain regular exchanges and dialogue on all challenging topics. They reiterated their committment to expanding friendly ties with all our partners.

On the sidelines of the Meeting, the Minister Saidov held brief talks with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye, Oman, and Kuwait. The discussions focused on strengthening diplomatic, economic, and investment ties, as well as regional and international cooperation.

The meeting, held at the request of Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and Iran, supported all the OIC resolutions on Palestine and Jerusalem, most recently by the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh last November, also reinstated Syria's membership in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) after receiving such request from the new administration of Syria.
