The president Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing the Major General Aziz Toshpulatov as the Minister of Internal Affairs, replacing Pulat Bobojonov, who had been in charge of the Ministry of Internal Affairs since September 2017.
Aziz Toshpulatov, 46, previously worked as the chief of the Namangan province police department (2015–2017), the Samarkand province police department (2017–2019), the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs (2019–2020), and in March 2020 was appointed chief of the Tashkent city police department.
