Safe and Healthy Capital month was held in Tashkent city from January 15 to February 15, the press service of the Tashkent police department said Thursday.

During stop, search and operations, police officers reportedly achieved to reduce the crime rate by 43%. In particular, scams - by 72%, robberies - by 47% and thefts - by 46.5%.

In addition, over the past month, 102,404 traffic violations were recorded, of which 366 were driving while drunk.

Police stopped the activities of online stores selling drugs, and destroyed 1.3 thousand drug graffiti, while over 500 people suffering from drug addiction were sent for treatment.

Search operations helped to resolve 488 crimes, to detain 160 persons on wanted lists and 45 missing persons.

Violation sheets were issued against 2.2 thousand people for carrying knives.

In addition, one combat vehicle (BM), 21 units of pneumatic weapons, 7 rifles and 14 cartridges were seized. Criminal cases were opened and investigations are underway for each case.

102.4 thousand traffic violations were identified, including 9.8 serious ones, and 366 cases of drunk driving.
