On February 21, the Minister of Investment Laziz Qudratov hosted the Estonian Ambassador Jaap Ora. The parties discussed bilateral ties, lauding the growth of the two-way trade figures by 20% in 2024, which reached 150 million US dollars. The main contribution to the increase in trade volume was made by the export of services, heavy engineering and medical equipment. They also reiterated reciprocal interest in the further development of economic ties.

One of the key items on the agenda was the possible use of Estonian ports - Tallinn, Muuga, Pärnu and Sillamäe by Uzbek companies. This will help diversify export routes and facilitate the supply of Uzbek goods to Europe.

the Estonian Ambassador also met with the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov, who proposed organizing a Road Show in Estonia dedicated to the transport and logistics capabilities of Uzbekistan, as well as holding a business forum with the participation of Estonian companies.

While at the meeting with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the parties agreed to launch cooperation between the companies in the field of IT, telecommunications and the digital economy.
