The leaders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan will convene for their first-ever trilateral summit in Khujand, Tajikistan. 

Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy PM Edil Baisalov announced the holding of Summit at the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

According to Edil Baisalov, the summit will be an important step in strengthening the regional cooperation.

The Summit will take place amid efforts to resolve border issues between Bishkek and Dushanbe.

It is worth noting that on February 21, government delegations from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed an agreement in Bishkek on the delienation of the shared border. Now, the documents must be signed by the leaders of the two states. "We have finally completed the marking of the entire border," emphasized the chief of the Kyrgyz State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev.
