The total number of teachers in Uzbek secondary schools was brought to 564.9 thousand at the start of the 2024/2025 academic year, the Statistics Agency said in a report today.
Reportedly, the figure has increased by 78.3 thousand to the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year.
The number of teachers (save for part-time teachers) of secondary schools at the beginning of academic years:
• 2019/2020 – 486.6 thous;
• 2020/2021 – 508.2 thous;
• 2021/2022 – 510.0 thous;
• 2022/2023 – 521.6 thous;
• 2023/2024 – 547.7 thous;
• 2024/2025 – 564.9 thous.
For reference, the number of general secondary schools at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year stood at 10,943.
