The Anti-Trust Committee opened over 400 cases in 2024 against economic entities that violated the anti-trust laws. As a result, over 200 thousand individuals will get compensation totaling about 50 billion soums.
In 2024, investigations concerned the activities of the so-called natural corporate monopolies, unjustified rises in prices for services, and consumer protection.
In particular, the Uzsuvtaminot illegally inflated prices, which brought 7 billion soums of excess income. These funds are ordered to be returned to individuals. A similar violation was found in the Regional Electric Networks and its branches, which were obliged to compensate consumers for 5 billion soums.
The Committee continues to monitor the process of refunding funds.
