Minister of Transport, Ilhom Mahkamov held talks with the CEO of Wizz Air, József Váradi and the Hungarian Ambassador, József Rózsa Thursday.
The parties explored the ways to expand the flight destinations of Wizz Air flights from Uzbekistan to Europe and in transit via Uzbekistan.
József Váradi voiced the interest to increase the frequency of Tashkent to Abu Dhabi flights, launch flights to the cities of Namangan and Urgench, and the perspectives for creating a joint airline in Uzbekistan.
Minister Mahkamov proposed to Wizz Air to launch Tashkent to Budapest direct flight before the year-end.
