President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishaal al-Sabah and will make an official visit to the country on February 17-18, the presidential press service said.
In Kuwait, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to hold talks with the country's leadership and members of the government, CEOs of large Kuwaiti companies and financial institutions.
Reportedly, the bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, finance, green energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, infrastructure and healthcare will be discussed.
In November, delegations from Uzbekistan and Kuwait held the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic and scientific-technical cooperation in Tashkent. The parties agreed to simplify trade procedures and discussed the possibility of signing a Preferential trade treaty.
