A woman willing to punish her eight-year-old son, put cotton wool between his fingers and set it on fire in Almalyk city, Tashkent province. A criminal case has been opened against her, and she has been put on the Wanted list.
The police found that the mother, Kh.A., 33, "systematically and regularly"inflicted suffering on her sonб B.A., 8. In particular, on October 30, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., she set fire to cotton wool clamped between her fingers and other parts of the child's body as punishment for his eating homemade sweets. As a result, the boy sustained minor bodily injuries in the form of 1-2 degree burns.
In accordance with the February 7, 2025 resolution of the Almalyk city police department, Kh.A. was brought in absentia as an accused in a criminal case under the Torture of a minor charge, punishable with from 360 to 480 hours of community service, or 2 to 3 years correctional labor, or from 2 to 5 years house arrest, or imprisonment for up to 5 years.
