Amendments took effect on February 7 entailing the National Guard officers to fine parents of minors for offenses committed by their children, the Norma said.
As per the Amendments, chief of children’s office, senior officers, psychologists and other authorized employees may now consider cases and apply administrative penalties on behalf of the National Guard.
The new powers of the National Guard are reportedly aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency and enhancing the responsibility of parents.
