A fire occurred in Bukhara province at the 106th km of the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline, after gas leaked from a gas pipe underground section, 40 km from the nearest settlement - Kizilrabot mahalla of Romitan district.
Video footages of the accident surfaced on social networks. A swift response allowed to close the valves at 11:30, after which a controlled release of residual gas was performed. Reportedly, the emergency has now been completely handled.
The provincial emergency department staff, the chief of the district emergency department, and the fire and rescue team arrived at the scene.
There were no casualties in a result of the emergency, the emergency department concluded.
