President, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on the country's defense capabilities Monday.
The report of the Minister of Defense was heard on the implementation of the goals and steps being taken to enhance the combat readiness and capabilities of the troops, comprehensively train units and formations, provide them with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as improve the activities of the Agency for the Defense Industry.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of comprehensively strengthening the combat potential of the army and the moral and spiritual state of its personnel, modernizing weapons and military equipment, as well as continuing work on the development of defense industry enterprises.
He emphasized the need to step up combat and operational training measures, improve the system of professional training of officer cadres and engineering and technical personnel of military.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state gave instructions on further development of the Armed Forces and strengthening of the country's defense capabilities.
