President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted Vagit Alekperov, the founder of Lukoil Tuesday, the presidential press service said yesterday.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of Lukoil’s ongoing projects in Uzbekistan’s energy sector. These included geological exploration and development of promising oil and fields, modernization of infrastructure and development of a system of retail sales of oil products.
They also exchanged views on plans to expand the company's portfolio in Uzbekistan and focused on training and hiring of specialists, implementation of social programs.
