President Mirziyoyev signed a decree creating International University of Turkic States Saturday. The new university will be located in Tashkent city as a private university.
The university will focus on:
- offering programs in engineering, construction, logistics, information technology and programming, healthcare, agriculture, food industry, as well as other economic and social areas in accordance with international standards;
- implementing educational programs jointly with Turkish universities, as well as on the basis of joint educational, scientific and research programs;
- building cooperation with leading foreign universities and research organizations;
- enhancing the scientific and pedagogical potential of the teaching staff by organizing their internships and advanced training abroad.
From the 2025/2026 academic year, the educational process at the university will be organized on the basis of the curricula of Turkish universities, that are included in the top 1000 in the ranking of internationally recognized universities.
