Eight-year-old boy died in a traffic accident in Termez district of Surkhandarya province, the press service of the provincial police department said. Reportedly, he crossed the road where there was no zebra crossing.
On January 23, on the M-41 highway, Damas minivan, traveling from Termez to Shurchi, hit a first-grade student who was crossing the road.
Having sustained serious injuries, the boy was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The police department reported that it made met with residents in the neighbourhood where the boy lived.
