The Tashkent subway carried 270.3 million passengers in 2024, recording a stagering a 98.3 million increase, or 57.2%, to 2023 figure of 172 million passengers, the press service of the Statistics Agency said in areport.
For comparison, in 2022, the passenger traffic in the subway stood at 136.7 million passengers, in 2021 - 101.8 million, in the pandemic year of 2020 - 38.8 million.
