Uzbek Ambassador Fariddin Nasriev met with the Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Seyyed Reza Salehi-Amiri.

During the meeting, the Iranian minister underscored that bilateral ties between the two countries had been advancing in various fields in recent years, and acknowledged that President Masoud Pezeshkian paid special attention to advancing the ties with Uzbekistan.

According to the minister, the Iranian President viewed developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of tourism and increasing the mutual tourists flow to be important in developing relations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed of establishing a joint Uzbek-Iranian tourism committee and expanding cooperation within the framework of UNESCO.

At the end of the meeting, the Iranian minister invited Uzbek tourism representatives to the 18th International Tourism Exhibition in Tehran scheduled for February 11-14 this year.
