Deputy Foreign Minister, Olim Abdullaev met with the Latvian Ambassador Reinis Trokša, the Foreign Ministry said. Reportedly, the parties discussed the ways to expand cooperation in the field of external labor migration.
During the talks, the parties touched upon hiring Uzbeks for jobs in Latvia, simplifying visa procedure, creating a labor migration related laws and establishing joint educational institutions and centers, as well as attracting specialists from Latvia.
The parties pointed to the importance of strengthening cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries in protecting the rights of labor migrants and reiterated their readiness to further advance bilateral ties in the field of external labor migration.
