Chief of the district emergency department was arrested red-handedly while receiving 160 thousand US dollars in an official car in Pap district of Namangan province, UzA reported.
In return, he promised through his acquaintances among officials to re-register 2 hectares of land allocated to five members of his family in February 2021 by the district mayor’s decision for construction of a greenhouse for the purpose of growing lemons. In addition, he had to obtain a permit to build cottages on this site.
A criminal case was opened against the official under Attempted fraud on a significant scale charge of the Criminal Code and Giving a bribe on a large scale charge of the Criminal Code, with investigation underway.
