Leader of Milliy Tiklanish party, Alisher Qodirov raised the issue of Russian airspace security after an incident that occurred near Aktau in Kazakhstan on Saturday.

He said on his Telegram channel that the party would send a request to the Ministry of Transport and Uzbekistan Airways to get clarification on the matter.

"Uzbekistan Airways must first and foremost take care of the safety of our citizens," he stressed.

The press service of Uzbekistan Airways said that at the moment, all planes to Russian cities, including Makhachkala and Grozny, are flying as per the schedule.

Currently, the Uzbekistan Airways is flying to Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Grozny, Makhachkala, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhnevartovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Perm, Rostov, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Tyumen, Ufa and Khabarovsk.

Flights from Tashkent to Grozny are operated twice a week (on Tuesdays and Fridays), to Makhachkala - once a week (on Thursdays).
