Enter Engineering has been confirmed as the general contractor for construction of the Jizzakh oil refinery project, a source in Uzbekneftegaz said. Details of the deal were not disclosed.
Earlier, Uzbekneftegaz had agreed with Kazakhstan and Russia on the supply of Kazakh and Russian oil through the Omsk-Pavlodar-Shymkent pipeline system.
The Jizzakh refinery will produce more than 3.7 MMt of gasoline, more than 700,000 t of jet fuel and about 300,000 t of other oil products annually, to be sold both domestically and abroad.
Enter Engineering Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Gazprombank, has been present on the Uzbek market for several years. Among the company's major projects: construction of a gas processing plant at the Kandym field in a consortium with Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd., modernization of the Mubarek gas processing plant, as well as the projects of the Hissar fields cluster.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has seriously embarked on the modernization of its oil and gas industry. Until 2021 program "Uzbekneftegaz" will implement 78 projects worth $ 30.4 billion.
