All-in-one social card, which will replace more than 10 documents: birth certificate, disability certificate, pension, student certificate, bank card, etc. used to receive 65 types of social services and assistance, will be tested in Tashkent city and Yangiyul district from Jan. 1 through Jul. 1 next year, and will be launched everywhere by the end of the year, the presidential spoeksman Sherzod Asadov said on his telegram channel.
With a social card, one can get free bus and metro rides, refunds for electricity, gas, and tuition, and benefits and assistance will also be credited to this card.
It was announced earlier that all social assistance will be financed through a "social card" from October 1 this year.
A social card will not only make it easier to receive social assistance and use benefits, but will also reduce the cost of social policy administration. It will be possible to collect, process and analyze large amounts of information, and even conduct social behavior monitoring. Corruption chains and instances in the delivery of social assistance and benefits will be drastically reduced.
