One of the suspects in the shooting on Sunday morning at the Range Rover SUV, belonging to the former senior official of the Presidential Administration Komil Allamjonov while he was in the vehicle, has been arrested as a suspect, by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The incident occurred on the night of October 26 in the Kibray district of the Tashkent province near the railway crossing. As reported, two unknown persons fired several shots from a firearm and fled. The driver and the former official were not injured.
The Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement that this was a deliberate homicide attempt.
According to updated information from the department, a criminal case has been launched under Deliberate homicide attempt and Illegal arms trafficking charges.
Reportedly, the operational investigative group includes officials of the Prosecutor General's Office, the prosecutor's offices of the Tashkent province, the Tashkent city, the Military and Transport Prosecutor's Offices, the Interior Ministry, the Police departments of the province and the Tashkent city, as well as the Customs Committee. Investigative actions are ongoing.
