President Shavkat Mirziyoyev landed in Kazan to attend BRICS Plus Summi. At the airport, he was welcomed by the president of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials.

Today, the President of Uzbekistan had a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and discussed the ways to further expand Uzbekistan-India strategic partnership ties and multilateral cooperation. They also focused on the implementation of high tech, artificial intelligence, industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and transport communications programs and projects.

They concluded to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the business forum this year, as well as to adopt a medium-term program on industrial cooperation.

An offer was made to hold Culture and Cinema Days in our countries, joint events in the fields of medicine and sports with the participation of youth, including within the parliamentary organizations of young people.

The two leaders also discussed the plan of upcoming high-level events.

Also, on the first day of his visit to Kazan, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a meeting with the President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The leaders discussed in detail the ways to strengthen Uzbek-Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership ties.

The leaders emphasized the importance of expanding multilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian areas.

The presidents noted the need to continue active dialogues and effective exchanges and focused on the promotion of cooperation projects in the fields of geology and mineral resource extraction, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, healthcare, education and other fields, insisting to regularly hold joint cultural and humanitarian events.

They also exchanged views on important aspects of the international and regional agenda.
