Talks took place between officials of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Urban Development of Afghanistan via a video conference call with the support of the Uzbek embassy.
The meeting was also attended by the leadership and representatives of the administration of the Afghan Balkh region, the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regional urban development department of the Balkh region.
The parties exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation, focusing on construction of a Imam al-Bukhari madrasah in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif
The Afghan officials voiced gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for the continuous assistance and support provided to Afghanistan.
They noted that the creation of this madrasah by Uzbekistan will serve to bring people with similar language and traditions, spiritual values and cultures closer.
