Statistics Agency reported the number of phones imported to Uzbekistan in January-August this year. Reportedly, about 2.6 million mobile phones worth US$ 236.2 million were imported into Uzbekistan in January-August, over 10 thousand phones a day.
The volume of mobile phone imports increased by 318,579 units to the same period last year.
In 8 months of 2024, Uzbekistan imported the most mobile phones from the following countries:
- China - 2.1 million phones;
- Vietnam - 405,500;
- India - 70.3 thousand;
- Hongkong - 27.1 thousand;
- UAE - 3.4 thousand units.
