Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York met with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.
“We had a comprehensive discussion of acute topics of our strategic partnership, as well as preparation for the upcoming high-level events. Traditionally, the agenda of our cooperation remains extensive and covers all the areas. Underscored the importance of commitment of states to the principle of non-interference to each other’s internal affairs for strengthening mutual trust. We agreed to continue our constant dialogue in the spirit of alliance," Minister Saidov said on his telegram channel.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said after the meeting that "special attention was paid to the need to counter manifestations of intolerance on interethnic grounds."
